Utility applications cost developers time they don't have

  • Every utility is different. Each network operator, water company and gas transporter has its own forms, rules and timescales. Get the route wrong, for example applying for a new connection when the utility treats it as a change to an existing supply, and you can lose weeks.
  • Getting it right takes coordination. An application involves the utility, your designers and your contractors. We coordinate between them and keep everyone working from the same information. Design and engineering stay with your designers and contractors.
  • Chasing falls on your team. Without a specialist, your site and design managers end up chasing utilities instead of running your project.
  • Applications get stuck with whoever made them. A utility only deals with the applicant on record. If a consultant applied in their own name and you move on, the application can stay with them, and you may have to apply again from scratch.

    You decide whether to accept. We can then run our free competitive process to find the best accredited specialist to install your connections.

Pricing

Introductory pricing: £500 + VAT for the first utility, £250 + VAT for each additional utility. This price covers our work only. The charges the utility companies make for applications and connections are separate, and you pay exactly what they charge, with nothing added by us. Payable in advance.
